Hilarity Ensues

So I've been out of contact with a person for months now and I've been good with it. Once the initial sadness and weirdness wore off, it was cool. Immediately upon our break with each other, said person cut me off from all their forms of on-line expression. Livejournal, myspace, etc. I figured they had A LOT of ranting and venting to do. Strangely, I didn't feel like writing one single, solitary word about them. I had a lot of life to catch up to. It's been better without them honestly and I'm not saying that to be mean, it just has been. I have been healthier, more productive, happier. Every good thing and feeling I can think of has increased exponentially. When songs came on that made me think of this person, I deliberately made myself listen to them even though it made me sad. I did the same with all our favorite CD's and TV shows. I got the sadness out and got over it. I deleted their number from my phone, blocked them from contacting my myspace, and officially put that person in my past.

And now they are contacting me again. I don't want to speak to them or be involved with their life again.

Joseph Barbera, the remaining half of Hanna-Barbera has died. God rest his sweet soul. Thanx Joe for Fred Flintstone and George Jetson. They were good fathers to me.

This year I lost my cat of 20 years. As much a parent to me as a baby. Everything tender and dear, all my heroes, all my talismans, all of them seem to be throwing darts at me as they disappear forever. I run ever closer to another birthday, but I will not be as well armed in 2007 as I have before been. As the year dies, lift a cup of kindness for me will you?

We are currently seeking artists/bands interested in talking part in a benefit compilation CD called "Forever Gia" that we are putting together to benefit The Gia Carangi Foundation (NYC).

Some of you may know who Gia Carangi was (via "Gia" the movie or the book "Thing of Beauty") and for those that don't more information can be found here:

The style of music we seek is of various genres (execpt no country, rap or instrumental) and NO explicit lyrics please.

ALL material must be original. NO covers.

This is a royalty free project meaning no one receives payment including Stay Records/SRG Music. ALL proceeds from the sale of the CD will go directly to The Gia Carangi Foundation to benefit raising AIDS and drugs awareness.

If you are interested in taking part please mail an audio CD (containing 1 or 2 tracks for consideration), a brief bio, and your contact information including address, telephone number and email address. Also, include a website address if you have one.

Neat thing happened today. I went to the bank. That's not neat I know but while I was in the bank, my cell was in the car and I missed a call. So I call the number back and didn't get through but then a minute later my phone rang. And thus began the coolest conversation with the sweetest girl. Normally, I don't do well at befriending other girls so when I find one I have enough in common with so that I can actually have a conversation with them, it rocks pretty hard.

Okay, so it wasn't a stranger or wrong number but someone that I kind of know in a second hand way through my best friend T-Mart (or as some know him, "Old Shiny"). For the longest time now I've heard stories about, seen art by, and a few photos of a good friend of his. He's commented before that we have a lot in common, musical tastes and the like, so I kind of got to know her in a way through him. We had just never spoken. But he and she are such good friends that when he's happy for her or worried about her, so am I.

Blah, blah, blah_ Sorry to prattle, but today I got a call from her and we had fun talking and I just felt good after finally getting to talk to her. Okay, so this is cool to me. Probably not a big event for anyone else, but I was happy. That's all, thanx for "listening".

Pain woke me up but that's okay. I was kind of out of this world on the 7th but it marked a year since the death of Rick James bitches.
